The oVERARCHING Theme
Throughout the discoveries of the following scientific dilemmas, Jurassic Park, and Frankenstein, the various writers and innovators of their respective fields commonly emphasize a mutual idea:
Blind pursuit of a passion or idea can lead to unprecedented consequences that could have irreparable effects on society and its members.
Blind pursuit of a passion or idea can lead to unprecedented consequences that could have irreparable effects on society and its members.
After examining all three parts of research, it is clear that an overarching theme lies in the idea of blind pursuit of passion. This does not mean not chasing dreams, but rather, simply looking at the consequences and examining the overall effect. Jurassic Park and Frankenstein both specifically exhibit scientists who chase their passion without realizing the true destruction that would come. In the specific moral dilemma, scientists are chasing this idea of "efficiency", but fail to realize the true dangers and potential moral violations of it.
